About Fair Shot FC

United by a love of the game

From across the globe, they arrived at Fair Shot FC. Our players may be referred to as refugees or people seeking asylum, but they are also football fans and they now have the opportunity to play the game they love together. Our players might speak different languages and have very different life experiences, but they speak the universal language of the beautiful game.

"I couldn't expect this opportunity. It feels like a dream coming true."

David

Meet The Coach: David Simmons

Now he’s training a multi-national band of brothers as Fair Shot FC's coach, David is picking up a few new languages along the way. Most importantly, he uses the language of football to get his message across to the players, not only ensuring they are ready for every match but making sure they are working together and enjoying every minute. Having already enjoyed success as the coach of Changing Lives FC, David is set to continue his great work with another great community movement.

Liubov

Meet The Coach: Liubov Liushnenko

Much like many of the players who make up the team, Ukraine national Liubov was displaced from her country due to conflict. But having found a home in the UK, Liubov also found another home in football and with Fair Shot. Now, six months into coaching, Arsenal fan and very handy left-back Liubov has the chance to share her expertise and her experiences with fellow refugees and football fans.
